Description/Blazon
On a silver color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of the head of a cottonmouth snake with a stylized tongue shaped as a thunderbird scarlet, two fangs exposed and dripping blue drops of venom. Arched below a buff scroll inscribed "MACHINAMENTUM DE VITAE" in silver letters.

Symbolism
The overall shape of the device is the head of a cottonmouth snake which is native to Oklahoma. The tongue is shaped as a red thunderbird which represents the old Oklahoma 45th Division, the roots of the Oklahoma Army National Guard. The blue venom drops represent the Quartermaster Corps and the water purification process.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 6 March 2006.

Buff, between eight gutts-de-poix in pale four and four a pale wavy counter-wavy Azure, thereon a cottonmouth caboshed, langued with a thunderbird Gules, dented Argent, the fangs embrued with two gutts-de-larmes above six gutts-d'eaux in chevron reversed three and three.

Crest

That for regiments and separate battalions of the Oklahoma Army National Guard: From a wreath Argent and Azure, an Indian's head with war bonnet all Proper.

Symbolism

Shield

Buff and blue are traditional colors of the Quartermaster Corps. The cottonmouth snake is native to Oklahoma. The tongue is shaped as a red thunderbird which represents the old Oklahoma 45th Division, the roots of the Oklahoma Army National Guard. The blue venom drops represent the Quartermaster Corps ability in the water purification process. The wavy counter wavy lines divide the black venom drops which represent the unpurified water from the white venom drops which represent the purified water.

Crest

The crest is that of the Oklahoma Army National Guard.

Background
The coat of arms was approved on 6 March 2006.
